After Eden

Informed deeply by the landscapes around her, Stephanie often takes multiple week immersive trips into the wilderness to cultivate transformational experiences to create work from. Her current body of work, After Eden, is drawn from extensive journeys into the tundra of the southern Yukon. Stemming from ideas surrounding climate change, and the global emotional phenomena termed ecological grief, ghostly acrylic paintings and video performance use beauty, barrenness, and silhouettes to honour the diversity that is leaving the planet at this time in history.
